ART DANS LA CITE PRESENTS: ILLUMINART AND THE VIRTUAL AQUARIUM
A new creation, Virtual Aquarium, has been produced for 3 hospitals: Hospital Trousseau Paris, Bonifacio Hospital in Corsica, and Aglaia kyriakou Athens Children Hospital in Greece.
It is an original project with therapeutic, entertaining and educational aims which has for backdrop the sea, the flora and fauna of the coral reefs, vectors of peace, serenity and well-being. The patients participated to populate the virtual aquarium with marine creatures of their choice.The project suggests a pleasant immersive experiment for the patients, susceptible to lower pain, anxiety or stress episodes and to increase well-being.
Developed and tested by the French Organisation Art dans la Cité, ILLUMINART is an innovative device which projects multiple visual and sound interactive contents in patients ‘rooms. It offers a multi-sensory experience.
An exhibition of ILLUMINART & VIRTUAL AQUARIUM program will be presented to a wider audience, on Saturday, March 17th from 11 am to 3 pm at Hellenic Pasteur Institute
